Store Card Thematic Index
This is a partial index of store card reverse dies based on the graphic device appearing on the die. It is ordered alphabetically according to the category of the illustration.
Some caveats: there are some large categories that are not included in this index. Check in the main store card identification page for keys for some of the large groups of dies, like indian heads or eagles. Most dies with text on them are not repeated in this thematic index. If there is text on the die, it is really easier and more accurate to look in the text cross reference first. The problem is nomenclatural since several words can be used to describe a picture. Is that a tankard or beer mug? A chimaera or a manticore? I've made my decisions and I hope they make sense to you.
